Poppies at Lake Louise
The stunning view of Lake Louise and Mount Victoria has awed visitors for 100 years. (The first Lake Louise C.P. Hotel was opened at this site in 1890.) Since then it has become the most famous and most heavily visited natural feature in these mountains. The outflow from the area\\\'s six glaciers create Lake Louise. The striking color is produced by fine particles of glacial silt suspended in the water and reflecting the green rays of the spectrum. The depicted view is from the beautiful gardens at Chateau Lake Louise.
